title and subject field, unless you know the Library of
Congress Subject Heading for the subject you are researching.. Subject
headings are frequently different from commonly
used terms. For example, to find works on Native Americans, you would
have to search for subject 'Indians of North America' - if you didn't know
this subject heading, you would have better luck searching for Title words
'Native Americans health' and
then looking at the subject headings assigned to appropriate works
to then do a subject search.

Occupational Health Program Library, 2223 Fulton, 4th Floor, 643-4335
Affiliated with UC Berkeley, this occupational health library has paper
and pamphlet files, journals, and books on every aspect of workplace health
and safety. The library also specializes in worker education materials.
The program produces written and audiovisual training materials. Hours
are from 8:00 to 5:00, Monday through Friday. Library assistance is generally
available from Monday through Thursday9:30-3:00 and Friday 12:30-3:00;
please call ahead to verify. The library is open to the public.

This specialized research collection covers the Mexican American experience
including immigration and agricultural labor. One of their publications,
Chicano
Database, indexes books, journals, reports, and other documents related
to Mexican American life and culture. Of particular interest, are primary
source materials on Cesar Chavez and the United Farm Workers.
