Coverage includes botany, zoology and microbiology, as well as related fields such as biomedicine, agriculture, pharmacology and ecology. Interdiscplinary fields such as medicine, biochemistry, and biotechnology are also included, as well as instrumentation and methods. Indexes articles, books, and meeting abstracts, papers and posters.

Environmental Sciences & Pollution Management Database
A multidisciplinary database covering ecology, agricultural biotechnology, energy, climate, pollution, toxicology, waste management, water resources, and other environmental issues.

Geography covers journals in geography (including GIS), city planning, development studies, economics, regional studies, and more.

Global Health
Global Health's topics include environmental and occupational health, food safety and hygiene, infectious diseases, medical microbiology, nutrition, public health, toxicology, zoonoses, and more.

NLM's bibliographic database of citations and abstracts from biomedical journals published in the United States and worldwide. Primary database for public health and other health and medical subjects.

Citations from journals in psychology and related disciplines, conference proceedings, books and book chapters, reports and dissertations.

Sociological Abstracts
Literature in sociology; covers demography, education, law, social psychology, and sociology. Sources include journals, books, conferences and meetings, and dissertations.

TOXLINE covers the biochemical, pharmacological, physiological, and toxicological effects of drugs and other chemicals.

Wildlife & Ecology Studies Worldwide
Coverage of literature on mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians. Includes wildlife behavior, wetlands, economics, management, and more.

Web of Science
Large, multidisciplinary database with links to cited articles and times cited provided for retrieved articles. Best resource for cited reference seacrhing.

Zoological Record
Comprehensive coverage of literature in all aspects of zoology, including systematics, ecology, behavior, evolution and conservation. Access is by author, subject, geographic area and taxa, with a thesaurus of about 10,000 terms arranged in 80 hierarchies.

Environmental Resources
Example: National Environmental Public Health Tracking Network: A system of integrated health, exposure, and hazard information and data from a variety of national, state, and city sources.

Statistical/Data Resources
Example: California Health Interview Survey: the largest state health survey in the United States, it is a telephone survey conducted every two years on public health topics and access to health care. The web site contains the questionnaires, data files, and AskCHIS, an online data query system.
