Access to the UC Berkeley Media Resource Center
Materials in the MRC collection may be used by UC Berkeley students, faculty, and staff only. Students may use materials on-site in the Center only (they may not be checked out for home use). Current UCB faculty and graduate student instructors may make arrangements to borrow materials for overnight preview or same-day use in the classroom. (see MRC course reserves information)
MRC materials are not available for borrowing by institutions or individuals outside of the University of California System.
The majority of materials in the MRC collection are acquired from commercial sources. Most of these materials are under current copyright. Because the library does not own rights to these materials we cannot legally copy or redistribute them, even if they are no longer available for purchase commercially. MRC staff can often provide information regarding sources for purchase of materials in the collection. For distribution information, contact Gisèle Tanasse (firstname.lastname@example.org).
In some cases, information about the distributors of the videos listed below may be obtained by consulting the Library's catalog, OskiCat. Addresses for distributors and producers may be found at MRC's distributor site
