The Systems Help Desk is a primary contact point between Library Staff and the LSO. Via your phone calls and electronic mail the Help Desk staff answers questions and initiates work orders for nearly all computer-oriented questions.

The Help Desk is staffed Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Call 2-6120 or email Helpbox for computer related problems. When possible the person on duty will help the caller diagnose the problem and initiate a solution. If this is not possible a "ticket" is created to alert the appropriate staff to the problem or request. The ticket number is always given to the caller for follow-up. When the problem or request is believed to have been solved a notice is mailed to the caller asking that they acknowledge the completion of the work. An essential part of the philosophy of the Help Desk is that the caller always determines when work is completed.
