New Librarian Introduction: Edna Lewis

I have been working on the reference staff at the law school (an excellent bunch by the way) since the fall of 2006 when I interned as part of my SJSU SLIS program. Before that I spent a year working part-time at Hastings Law School during their law school renovation.

In a former life I was a corporate attorney at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe for 10 years (J.D. University of Chicago law school) and then spent a number of years in the trenches with my 3 kids (if you can survive that everything else is a piece of cake).

Ciao tutti,

I am the Romance Languages Librarian. I work in Doe/Moffitt's International & Area Studies department and my office is in Doe 212/218. Though I began here on April 2, 2007 and will soon be celebrating my two-year anniversary, I am still considered new. I suppose when I have had a chance to meet everyone in this vast library system and memorize all your names, I'll no longer feel like such a newbie.

New Librarian Introduction: Lisa Ngo

Hello everyone! I'm the instruction and electronic services librarian at the Engineering Library. When I'm not trying to decipher engineering jargon I serve as the Library Representative on the LAUC-B Executive Committee. Prior to starting here in August of 2007 I was working at King Library at San Jose State University. As a San Francisco native, I am really enjoying being back in the city (though not the commute that comes with it). Stop by and say hello if you find yourself up in this corner of campus!

I'm working 1/2 time as a Reference and Instruction Librarian in ENVI, the Environmental Design Library. I graduated from UCB's College of Environmental Design many years ago with a Masters in City and Regional Planning. You'll have to meet me to guess how many years ago it was. I'm also working as the training coordinator for the Millennium ILS, which is where you may have seen my name. I'm thrilled to be back at Cal, this time on the other side of the reference desk.
