It indexes 2500+ scholarly and professional journals from all over the world in the subjects of architecture, landscape architecture and urban design. Article citations from the 1990's on contain brief abstracts. Incorporates the Burnham Index (see below) and includes obituaries and book reviews. Early volumes have only minimal coverage of the West Coast. Allows sorting by date, EndNote exporting and Limiting by type of illustration.

  A cumulative index of publications about computer aided architectural design. It includes bibliographic information for more than 10,000 records from journals and conferences such as ACADIA, ASCAAD, CAADRIA, eCAADe, SiGraDi, CAAD futures, DDSS and others. All papers include full abstracts. Full texts, in PDF, of some 7,200 papers are also available (requires a login and password). A separate index of some 1,400 papers in Spanish language are maintained. Published papers relating to building performance may be retrieved directly from the IBPSA-website.   Published by the National Trust for Historic Preservation Library. Volume 1 covers 1979-1987, and supplement covers 1987-1990. It indexes 325 preservation magazines, including local publications such as Oakland Heritage Alliance News, BAHA News, Heritage Newsletter (San Francisco's Architectural Heritage) and California Preservation (appears to be several years behind in indexing California titles). • InformeDesign is a clearinghouse for design and human behavior research, a collaboration between the American Society of Interior Designers and the University of Minnesota. They produce a searchable database of research summaries in "practitioner-friendly" language that includes research-based design criteria as part of their interpretation of original research articles and reports with the aim of bringing research to practice and positively influencing the design of the built environment. The database "indexes" 100 refereed journals from about 2000 to the present. Acess is free, but registration is recommended.
