To place material on course reserve, send your list to us using one of the following:
Course Reserve Request Form: Save the form to your computer and send the completed form as an e-mail attachment to the Engineering Library ("engires" at "library.berkeley.edu"). This has the advantage that you can save it to use in subsequent semesters. Some web browsers may require that you save the form first in order to make edits.
E-mail: "engires" at "library.berkeley.edu"
Printed forms are available at the Circulation Desk and can be filled in there by faculty and GSIs.
Please submit your course reserve requests as soon as possible before the semester begins to ensure availability of the material.
Guidelines for personal copies of material to be placed on reserve:
Please group solution sets, photocopies of articles, reprints, and other loose material in a robust binder suitable for circulation. Bring binders, readers and personal copy books to the Engineering Library Circulation Desk along with a completed form.
Provide one copy for every twenty-five students in the class, up to five copies. Mark the binder with the Instructor's name and course number.
If you have questions about your course reserve material, e-mail the Engineering Library ("engires" at "library.berkeley.edu").
Faculty interested in electronic reserves, please see Electronic Course Reserves.
More information on course reserves, policies, and guidelines can be found on the library-wide Placing Materials on Reserve: Instructions for Faculty and Instructors site.
The Copyright Law of the United States governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. In accepting photocopies for reserves, the UC Berkeley Library assumes that copies have been made in compliance with the fair use provisions of section 107.
