EndNote Tips for Engineering Databases:
Importing from Applied Science Full Text
Direct Export
In Applied Science Full Text:
- Open EndNote and the library into which you want to download records.
- Select the references you'd like to export in Applied Science Full Text.
- Click on the Exporting/Citing tab at the top of the page.
- Under Download Record(s) into, click the radio button for The EndNote Filter.
- Click on the Export button.
- Select Open with Web Export Helper (default).
- EndNote will prompt you to choose an import filter. Select the WilsonWeb filter.
- Click Choose. Records will download themselves into your selected library.
Save and Import
In Applied Science Full Text:
- Select the records you want to export.
- Click on the Print Email Save tab on the top of the page.
- Under Fields, click the radio button for All Citation Fields.
- Under Format, select For exporting into Bibliographic Software.
- Click Save.
- Save the records to your Desktop as a text file (e.g., "ast.txt").
In EndNote:
- Open the library into which you want to import records.
- Choose Import from the File menu.
- Click on the Choose File button and select the text file from your Desktop.
- Select the WilsonWeb filter from the Import Option menu.
Note: If necessary, use Other Filters… to find it.
