EndNote Tips for Engineering Databases:
Importing from Applied Science Full Text

Direct Export

In Applied Science Full Text:

  1. Open EndNote and the library into which you want to download records.
  2. Select the references you'd like to export in Applied Science Full Text.
  3. Click on the Exporting/Citing tab at the top of the page.
  4. Under Download Record(s) into, click the radio button for The EndNote Filter.
  5. Click on the Export button.
  6. Select Open with Web Export Helper (default).
  7. EndNote will prompt you to choose an import filter. Select the WilsonWeb filter.
  8. Click Choose. Records will download themselves into your selected library.

Save and Import

In Applied Science Full Text:

  1. Select the records you want to export.
  2. Click on the Print Email Save tab on the top of the page.
  3. Under Fields, click the radio button for All Citation Fields.
  4. Under Format, select For exporting into Bibliographic Software.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Save the records to your Desktop as a text file (e.g., "ast.txt").

In EndNote:

  1. Open the library into which you want to import records.
  2. Choose Import from the File menu.
  3. Click on the Choose File button and select the text file from your Desktop.
  4. Select the WilsonWeb filter from the Import Option menu.
    Note: If necessary, use Other Filters… to find it.
