Aerial Photography

These file cabinets hold our 9" x 9" stereographic vertical contact prints for various aerial surveys. The strength of our aerial photography collection is for the San Francisco Bay Area, especially San Francisco and the East Bay. However, we collect all of northern California, exclusive of the Central Valley and have many urban areas for selected U.S. and foreign areas. Some air photos are on CD-ROMS, while others have been digitized and can be viewed online.

A Master Index for our complete aerial photo collection is available at the Reference Desk. Holdings can also be searched online. Aerial photography for other areas of California can be borrowed from other UC or Stanford collections for UC affliates

Oversized photographs are shelved with our maps in Case B and Case D.
