1906 San Francisco Earthquake Centennial





Online Maps of San Francisco, ca. 1904-1907

To commemorate the centennial of the 1906 earthquake, several maps of San Francisco, ca. 1904-1907, were scanned and made available online. These maps, selected from the collection of the Earth Sciences & Map Library, provide a historical illustration of San Francisco, as it appeared before and after the earthquake. Included are general street maps, tourist maps, maps showing the limits of fire damage, and a bird's-eye view of the city. These maps may be viewed by clicking on the thumbnail images below or via links in Pathfinder, the Library's web catalog.
