Scope of Collection
The Department of Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies "understands performance to be a mode of critical inquiry, a means of creative expression, and a vehicle for public engagement" (General Catalog). The collection must support the interdisciplinary and transnational nature of the research, production and practice of TDPS faculty and students. Collection Area(s): performance, contemporary and historical ideas, production, dance.

Strengths
Increased emphasis at an international level on all aspects of performance. Historically strong collection for culture, politics, history, and social life.

All languages. Formats include books, journals, online databases, and microform.
