The Center for Chinese Studies Library at UC Berkeley is pleased to announce that a limited number of library travel grants will be awarded to promote scholarly research on post-1949 Mainland China.
Four grants of up to $400 each will be made each year to assist scholars from outside the area to access the library's collection. Priority will be given to doctoral candidates and junior faculty members. Special consideration will be given to scholars who live in areas where no major East Asian collections are available.
Applicants are asked to include: a resume; a detailed research proposal; an estimated budget; and the anticipated dates of visit in their application. Proposals should address specifically the relevance of the Center for Chinese Studies Library collection to the applicant's research. Application materials should be mailed or faxed to CCSL.
