Current financial statements may be located by using MergentOnline. A link is located under "Electronic Databases" on the Long Library's home page. Hoover's Online provides easily downloadable financial statements for many companies and Lexis/Nexis Academic contains various company reports in the "BUSINESS" category.

The International Directory of Company Histories (46+ volumes in the Reference Collection HD2721 D36) contains multi-page historical overviews. The following business databases index thousands of journals, magazines, and newspapers. You access them by going to the "Electronic Databases" list on the Long Library's home page. The full text of many of the articles indexed will be available in the databases.
Business Source Complete, Academic Search Complete, Factiva, Lexis-Nexis Academic
Use the Pathfinder catalog and do a search on the subject "business planning" or a title word search with the terms "business plans." It is helpful to limit the location to BUSI (Long Library). Pathfinder is the catalog for most libraries at UCB and is accessible from an icon on all library computers.
Market Share Reporter (Express Reference Collection, HF5410 M35) contains market share statistics for thousands of products and industries. Mintel and the Business and Industry databases are also useful for finding market share.
Global Market Information Database provides tables of sales and product data for many countries. The Business & IndustryDatabase, MarketResearch Academic, and Mintel are also very useful. Use the links on the Long Library's home page under "Electronic Databases."
Standard & Poor's Industry Surveys (Express Reference HC101 S77) provide overviews for more than 50 major industries. Mergent Industry Review (Express Ref. HG4961 M68) provides additional statistical information. MergentOnline has 14 industry overviews for the U.S., Europe, and Asia Pacific. The Reuters Research on Demand database contains analyst industry reports. Industry statistics are available in these titles in the Express Reference Collection:

The EIU Country Reports and Profiles are available for most countries of the world. Information on emerging market economies may be found in ISI Emerging Markets. The International Financial Statistics and World Development Indicators databases provide economic information for the countries of the world since 1948.
