Map of the Campus Libraries (PDF)
Self-Guided Tour
This tour is available in print at the Circulation Desk, or in PDF form (Adobe Acrobat required).
Welcome to the Long Library which is located on two levels of the Haas School's Students Services Building. By following the STOPS on this tour, you will gain a basic introduction to where things are located in the library. Each STOP is indicated by a number on the following map (pdf).

Stop by the Circulation Desk to check out books with your campus ID and to request reserve materials for all business courses and for graduate courses in economics. Most books circulate for one semester and journals for one day.
Be sure to get a student discount copy card from the Library Copy Service, 321 Moffitt Library, or from the Law Library's copy desk. A dispenser is available in the room to buy copy cards, but no discounts available. In addition to photocopiers, the room contains a microfiche reader/printer and a laser printer connected to the Public Access Computers. A second copy room is located on the lower level.
These computers are available for searching the library catalogs (Pathfinder and Melvyl) and over 40 business and economic databases. Use the icons on the monitors to connect to the catalogs, the cd-rom database network, or the Long Library's home page, your gateway to a vast 24/7 information resource. A selected list of databases is available on the "Welcome to the Long Business & Economics Library" handout (pdf).
The reference librarians are available to assist you with your information problems. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 10am-12noon and 2-4 pm. Please feel free to stop by and chat with us about questions related to course assignments, job research, internships, etc.
Most study tables and all carrels are provided with network jacks and electrical connections for laptops. Wireless nodes are also located in various parts of the Long Library and are accessible through the AirBears project.

Take the stairway on the west end of the floor to the lower floor or the elevators located next to the Circulation Desk.
These shelves display the unbound issues of some of the periodicals the library receives. The most current issue is on display and the earlier issues are behind the shelf (lift up). Many of the newspapers and journals we subscribe to are now only available in electronic format. Please use the Long Library's ejournals page as a guide.
Eight additional public access computers provide the same resources as those upstairs. The laser printer for these pc's are located in the copy room down the concourse.
Cabinets along the walls of this area contain the Long Library's microfiche and microfilm collections (company reports, backruns of magazines and newspapers, such as The Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, etc.). Reader/printers are available to view and print from film and fiche.
The book stacks are open and available for browsing. Books and journals are interfiled by Library of Congress call numbers. If you find something of interest and want to check it out, please take it to the Circulation desk on the upper level. Study tables are scattered throughout the stacks and individual carrels along the east and south walls. Haas Computing has placed over 40 computers on the study carrels, some tables, and in the group study rooms. These computers provide access to the full range of Haas computing resources and require personal logons.
Six group study rooms are along the west side of the book stacks. Haas School students may reserve the rooms for one-hour blocks of time. The reservation book is located at the Circulation Desk on the upper level. Each room is equipped with a Haas computer and a network/wireless connection for laptops. Three of the rooms have VCRs available for viewing videos.
