
In 1995, Professor Emeritus John C. Harsanyi donated his Nobel Prize to the Thomas J. Long Business & Economics Library. The Library gratefully acknowledges receiving this honor.
Dr. Harsanyi was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1994, with John F. Nash (Princeton) and Reinhard Selten (Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms Universität Bonn), for their pioneering analysis of equilibria in the theory of noncooperative games. Hungarian-born Dr. Harsanyi taught at the University of California, Berkeley from 1964 until his retirement in 1990.
