The following online and print resources provided by the Long Business Library are key to finding information required for this course. Use the Library proxy Server to access the electronic resources from off-campus.

Books

The Long Library has a large collection of books on nonprofit organizations covering accounting, finance, leadership, management, marketing, philanthropy, startups, etc. To locate them, use the OskiCat catalog to search for books in the Long Library. Subject headings, such as the following, will prove useful: nonprofit organizations, independent sector, boards of directors, social entrepreneurship, volunteer workers, etc. Choose the subject search box and restrict the search to the Long Library by choosing BUSI from the location menu. E-books may be located and used online through Ebrary.

Business Source Complete Indexes thousands of business journals and magazines. Use the subject search box to look for articles on the subject of your paper. Company names should be searched using the "company entity" box. Full text is available for many of the articles.
Catalog of Nonprofit Literature An open website of the Foundation Center that indexes numerous print and digital resources providing information about nonprofit organizations.
Factiva A full text database of magazines and newspapers, including Business Week, Economist, Forbes, Fortune, Wall Street Journal, etc. Very useful for current information on business topics, company activities, and developments in U.S. and international industries.
Lexis-Nexis Academic A very user-friendly search tool for finding articles in magazines and newspapers, and company profiles and financials.

IBIS World Industry Market Research A database providing 25-30 page reports on the following nonprofit sectors:
