Reference Area

The reference area is to your left as you walk into the library.  It includes the reference desk and the reference collection. It also includes printed indexes and catalogs, some special collections, and folios.

Come to the reference desk to ask questions about how to find books or journal articles, and get help on searching appropriate databases.  Reference staff members can also help you get started on a research project.  The reference desk is open from 10-5 on Monday - Friday, and 1-5 on Saturdays during the Fall and Spring semesters.

The Reference collection begins on the shelves behind the reference desk. It continues on the shelves behind the dictionary stand in the center of the picture.

Look in the reference collection to find the most current encyclopedias, handbooks, and other reference materials.
