Only one reference at a time can only be imported from Google Scholar. If you would like to import a large number of search results into EndNote, we recommend using an article database to search. Tips for importing from these databases are also available.
Step 1: Go to scholar.google.com. Click on Scholar Preferences.
Step 2: Scroll down to Bibliography Manager.
- Click the radio button for Show links to import citations into.
- Use the pull-down menu to select EndNote.
- Click Save Preferences.
Step 3: Now after you perform a search, there will be an Import into EndNote link below each search result.
Step 4: When you click on this link, you will be prompted to tell your computer what software to use.
- Choose the Open with radio button and Browse to the EndNote software on your hard drive.
- Then you can tell your computer to open your EndNote library and it will complete the import.
- If you want your computer to remember to use EndNote to do this in the future, click the checkbox for Do this automatically...from now on .

- Type "Berkeley" into the search box and click Find Library.
- Check the box that appears saying University of California Berkeley - UC-eLinks.
- Click Save Preferences.
Step 3: Now after you perform a search, there will be a UC-eLinks link below or to the right of each search result.
- To access articles from off campus, you will need to set up the UCB Library proxy server or virtual private network.
