ebrary is a collection of nearly 40,000 ebooks in a wide range of subject areas. Access is available from all campus computers.

Connect from off-campus: UC Berkeley faculty, staff, and students can access this resource from off campus via the Library Proxy Server or VPN (Virtual Private Network).

Quick View is Ebrary's default reader, which allows instant viewing of documents in your browser. To print, copy, or use other advanced features you should use the InfoTools menu from Quick View, or launch the Unity Reader.

The Unity Reader is compatible with Windows and Linux machines, and includes text-to-speech functionality. Printing from the Unity Reader will result in better print quality. Simply click the ebrary Reader button to launch (see screenshot below). If you do not already have the Unity Reader software installed on your computer, you will be prompted to begin the installation process.

Click on the Print icon in the ebrary reader to print, or from Quick View, choose InfoTools, then choose Print . Do not use your browser's print command!

Note: Publishers' restrictions prevent any ebrary books from being printed in full. You will only be able to print a portion of the book per session, and only a limited number of pages can be printed at a time. Restrictions vary by publisher; if you exceed the publisher's limitations you will receive an error message.
