New at Bancroft Library The Bancroft Library is very happy to welcome Amelia Hellam to its Public Service staff. Amy is our new Manuscript Stack Manager, monitoring and assigning stack space, overseeing storage processing and managing Bancroft's archival supplies, in addition to public service and curatorial assistance.
Amy hails from Monterey, where she comes from several
generations of librarians, and was volunteering in libraries by the age of 12. She is a graduate of UCB in English with a minor in Drama and worked in Bancroft as a student page and student supervisor before she joined the staff in December. She can be reached at 642-1595 and ahellam@library.

Fall 2000 Library User Survey Early Bird All Library staff are invited to attend an Early Bird on
Tuesday, January 29, 2002
to meet with members of the Library User Survey Team and learn the results of the Fall 2000 Library User Survey of UC Berkeley faculty and graduate students. Selectors and public service staff are especially encouraged to attend. Copies of individual library unit reports will be available for pick up by unit staff and copies of faculty and graduate student reports by broad academic discipline will also be available.
A web site, containing a complete set of all of the unit and constituency reports along with a descriptive report outlining the project and prepared for Library Administration, will be announced shortly.
We hope to see you on the 29th!

February 5, 2002 [repeats 1/28/02 session]
As a follow-up to Margo's talk, we'd like to hear from staff -- what your
thoughts are after the session; what your experience has been with
civility; what you would like to ask of your colleagues regarding
civility; what groundrules you're willing to abide by yourself.
February 14, 2002
We look forward to seeing you!
