November Library Stars

Because it was not possible to include the November Library Star recipients in the last issue of CU News, we herewith report their names and citations. December Stars will be recognized in a future issue.

The Library Star Program is pleased to report that Library Stars for November 2002 have been awarded to:

Milly Shiu, recognizing her unfailing ingenuity and attentiveness. Milly solves sticky problems through careful fact-finding, ties up loose ends, and keeps us informed with well-organized documentation.
Presented by Chikako Pierce.

Laurie Pangelina for her ability to develop strong, working relationships; her curiosity and eagerness to continue learning and growing; her creativity and resourcefulness; and her endless good cheer. It is my pleasure to recognize these qualities that make Laurie Pangelina's Library Star shine brightly.
Presented by Brenda Krell.

Milt Ternberg for his excellence and dedication to all tasks that he assumes. His honest and reasoned counsel, encouragement, and sense of humor in difficult circumstances is greatly appreciated.
Presented by Allan Urbanic.

Miguel Labon for his outstanding performance and dedication to the highest standards of excellence, inspiring others, and contributing to the overall success of the UC Berkeley Library. Ang bituin ito ay galing kay Miguel, kaibigan, kababayan. Mabuhay at salamat kay Miguel.
Presented by Susan Francisco.

Debbie Jan, recognizing her virtuosity and her modest but generous spirit that help keep our library show a hit. In particular, I applaud her recent center stage stand-in performance as Acting Head of the Public Health Library and I look forward to the next act, where she stars as the new Head of Public Health Library.
Presented by Juta Savage.

Congratulations.
