Computers
Computers with access to library resources and the Internet are available in the Anthropology Library. UC Berkeley students, faculty, and staff doing research are given priority for computer use. Headphones are available from the circulation desk, or you are welcome to bring your own. See Services for Users with Disabilities for more information about specialized computer equipment.
Computers in the Anthropology Library are located to the right of the circulation desk. Library workstations are public computers from which you can do research using the library catalogs, article databases, and online sources. Some locations have special resources or conditions of use.
The Anthropology Library has 7 workstations, 1 of which is wheelchair accessible. CalNet ID required for unrestricted Internet access.
Microfilm Machines
The Anthropology library has one 1 microfilm machine, located in the second floor stacks.
Printing is possible only with a copy card, which may be purchased or recharged in a number of locations. Printouts are black-and-white and cost 15 cents per page. If you wish to download onto a disk, please bring your own floppy disk/flash drives.
Wireless access, via Air Bears, is available within the Anthropology Library for those wishing to access the Internet.
Off-campus access is available to most online library resources, such as library catalogs and article databases. Connecting from Off Campus discusses services and set-up options.
