Exploring the Local

 

Much of Berkeley anthropology has centered around the study of native California habitats and the peopling of the state. While that interest persists, California, home to some of the most critical social and technical events and transformations of the past three decades, also provices rich fieldsites for exploration of contemporary issues of broad concern.
